Step #1: Click on [Download FilterPak] to begin the installation.
Step #2: Click on [Open].
Step #3: You will be asked for a “Location to Save Files” (the default is "C:\Program Files\S4F\PACKAGE"). Click [Next].
Step #4: After the download is completed, the Install Wizard will start. Click [Next].
Step #5: Our “License Agreement” will follow. Click [Yes] to continue.
Step #6: You will now “Choose Destination Location”. "C:\Program Files\S4F" is recommended. Click [Next].
Step #7: A window will pop up stating “Installation will now connect to the registration server in order to register your account. You must be connected to the Internet in order to proceed. Do you wish to proceed?” Click [Yes] if you are connected to the Internet.
Step #8: To open a new trial account, fill out the information requested, then click [Continue].
NOTE: If you already have an account (version 7 or greater), click on the [Already Have An Account? CLICK HERE] link to enter your Master Account username, then click [Continue]. You will skip to Step 12.
Step #9: Select your new Master Account Name and Password, then click [Continue]
Note: The Master Account controls the software and has the ability to bypass or uninstall the FilterPak. It is very important you do not share this information with any of the users you are trying to protect. At this step you may also select a Security Question to answer; in the event you ever forget the password you have selected.
Step #10: You will now set up Users, or "Profiles'. You may set up a single Profile for your entire family, or you may create up to 5 Profiles with cusomized filtering levels. Select a Username and Password and which categories are to blocked for each Profile. Make sure you keep a list of Usernames and Passwords as this is what you will use to log into the FilterPak when accessing the Internet.
Note: The"Default Filtering Level" blocks 'Pornography/Nudity', 'Adult Material', and 'Weapons/Violence'. If you prefer, you may select 'Custom' and choose from any of our 23 Categories.
After you have created at least one user, the Wizard will ask for user2 setup.You may add additional users or you may simply click on [Create Account] to continue.
Step #11: You will now receive a confirmation “Registration Status-Complete” along with your personal configuration settings, which will also be emailed to you. We suggest printing this page for your records. After you print the page click [Continue]
Step #12: Continue will bring you to a Page to “Start Copying Files”. Click on [Next]
Step: #13: Set up Status will begin and the FilterPak will now install and ask to Reboot your computer now.
Step #14: After you Reboot, you will login to the filter with a Profile Username and Password from Step #10.
