Add FASTNET Web Acceleration |

New FASTNET Web Acceleration is available to all current Covenant Promotions dial-up customers. It uses compression technology to make web pages load 5 times faster than with a standard dial-up connection. This feature is available as a $3 add-on to your existing service. read more... Adding FASTNET is a two-step process. STEP 1: Make sure your S4F Filter is version 7.51 or better. If it is, proceed to STEP 2, if not, follow these instructions: Double click the S4F icon on your system try to open the S4F Preferences screen to see what version you have installed. If it is version 6.x or 7.1x you must UNINSTALL the filter before upgrading. To do this, open 'Control Panel', double click on 'Add/Remove Programs', and choose 'FilterPak for Windows' or 'S4F' from the list. Click the 'Change/Remove' button and follow the prompts to uninstall the filter. You may be prompted to contact us for an uninstall code if you do not have an Administrative Password or have opted to have your password disabled. After you have
removed the older version of S4F, please browse to http://www.covpro.net/Support/downloads4f.html
to download and install S4F. If you already have
version 7 installed, you may simply enter your existing Account Name when
prompted. Customers upgrading from version 6 will have to open a new 'Trial'
account, and notify
us via email
to switch your account to version 7.51. STEP 2: Activate FASTNET on your account ($3 per month additional charge will apply) |
