Configure an Email Account
Our Email Server information is
as follows:
POP3 (Incoming)
Mail Server: pop3.covenantmail.net* or
pop3.covenantmail.com*
*Use '.net' or '.com' to match your email address.
For example, if your email address is
'chuck@covenantmail.net',
you would use 'pop3.covenantmail.net'. Likewise, an
address of 'chuck@covenantmail.com' would use
'pop3.covenantmail.com'.
SMTP (Outgoing) Mail Server:
smtp.covenantmail.com
(Covenant Promotions
dial-up customers only)
Manually Configure
an Email Account using Outlook Express
- Select Accounts from the Tools menu.
- On the Mail tab, click Add, then select
Mail. The program will then take you through a series of
screens entitled the Internet Connection Wizard.
- In the Display Name box on the first screen, type
your real name the way you would like it displayed in your
outgoing messages.
- The next screen will prompt you to enter your full
e-mail address (username@covenantmail.net/com*).
- On the next screen, select POP3 from the pull-down menu.
Enter your POP3 host (pop3.covenantmail.net/com*) into the
Incoming Mail Server box, and your SMTP server
(smtp.covenantmail.com) in the Outgoing Mail Server
box. If you are a S4F Filtering Only customer, and do not
connect to the internet through Covenant Promotions, you
will need to use your ISP's outgoing mail server settings.
- Enter your user name (the part of your e-mail address
before the "@" symbol), and your password. Do not check the
"Log on using Secure Password Authentication" box.
- Click Finish to set-up this account. You should
now be able to send and receive email using Outlook Express.
